Cranor Hill is a small municipal ski hill owned by the City of Gunnison. It has a single Poma platter surface lift and four runs of varying difficulty, with a base lodge and concessions. Gunnison Crested Butte tourism lists about 305 feet of vertical and 45 acres.

The hill has no snowmaking, so it depends entirely on natural snow and often opens late, closes early or skips a season. A typical season runs January through March with weekend operation. The city says the hill was built in 1962 as a private ski ranch and sold to the city in 1966 on the condition that it always be run as a ski area.

The City of Gunnison's page said Cranor did not open for the 2026 season because of inadequate snow and hopes to be back in business next year. Operation in 2026-27 isn't confirmed, so check with the city before you visit. For a bigger mountain nearby, see Crested Butte.
