Aspen Highlands is wild but welcoming, to borrow Aspen Snowmass's own description, with expert terrain best suited to experienced skiers and riders. The mountain has about 1,040 acres and 3,635 feet of vertical.

The signature is the Highland Bowl: 270 acres of hike-to, in-bounds terrain with a top at 12,392 feet. Aspen Snowmass also points to steep lines like Steeplechase and Deep Temerity, plus tree runs, and Cloud Nine Alpine Bistro sits near the top for a lunch break.

Highlands opened in 1958 and is one of four Aspen Snowmass mountains, all on the Ikon Pass and Mountain Collective. Its 2026-27 season is scheduled for December 12, 2026 through April 11, 2027. Check current Aspen Highlands ski conditions before you plan the Bowl.
