These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Guide to Local Living and any other city site operated by Moxaroo, LLC ("we," "us," or "the Company"), including the website, newsletter, and any account you create. By using the site, subscribing to our newsletter, or creating an account, you agree to these Terms.
1. Information Is a Guide, Not a Guarantee
We do our best to provide accurate, useful, and current information about businesses, events, news, and the communities we cover. That said, our content is intended as a general guide, not as a definitive or verified source. Business hours, pricing, availability, event details, and other facts and figures can and do change, and listings may become outdated between updates. You should independently verify any information that matters to you -- directly with the business, venue, or organization in question -- before making plans or decisions based on it.
2. Use at Your Own Risk
Your use of the site and reliance on any information found on it is at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company is not responsible or liable for any loss, damage, injury, or expense of any kind arising from your use of the site or from your reliance on information published here, whether that information came from us, from a business or advertiser, or from any other source we've linked to or aggregated.
3. Information Sharing With Sponsors and Advertisers
If you subscribe to our newsletter, create an account, or otherwise submit information to us, we may share that information with our sponsors and/or advertisers, including local businesses that partner with us. We do this to support the free content and services we provide. If you'd prefer we not share your information, please contact us using the information below.
4. No Professional Advice
Nothing on this site constitutes legal, financial, medical, real estate, relocation, or other professional advice. Where we cover topics like moving, cost of living, schools, or local services, that content is general and informational -- consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.
5. Third-Party Content and Links
The site may include content from, or links to, third-party sources -- news publishers, businesses, government agencies, and others. We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or availability of third-party content, and a link to a third-party site does not imply our endorsement of it.
6. Paid Plans, Billing, and Auto-Renewal
Featured and Premium business listings, and any ad placement add-on, are subscriptions billed automatically and recurring until cancelled. By choosing a paid plan or ad placement, you authorize us (through our payment processor) to automatically charge your card:
- Every month, on the monthly anniversary of your signup date, if you chose monthly billing; or
- Every year, on the annual anniversary of your signup date, if you chose annual billing --
at the then-current price for your plan, without further authorization or notice required for each individual charge, until you cancel.
Changing plans. If you upgrade or downgrade between two paid plans, we charge or credit only the prorated difference for the remainder of your current billing period, and your plan continues billing on its existing schedule going forward.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your business portal by switching to the Free plan. Cancelling stops your subscription and any further charges immediately -- we do not provide a refund or credit for the unused portion of a billing period already paid for.
Failed payments. If a renewal charge fails (for example, an expired or declined card), we may downgrade your listing to the Free plan and remove Featured/Premium benefits until payment is resolved.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
