Weather Overview
Napa Valley has a Mediterranean climate: warm, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Most of the year's rain falls between November and March, while July and August are nearly rainless. Because the valley floor sits between two mountain ranges, temperatures can swing noticeably between the valley floor and the surrounding hillsides, and between inland towns and those closer to San Pablo Bay.
