About This Event

Counseling Connections for Change, Inc. provides critical mental health services in our community. Our agency serves Brazoria, Harris, Galveston and Fort Bend counties in Texas and has telehealth patients throughout Texas.  We have offices in Pearland, Angleton, and League City. We envision mentally healthy transformed communities. Our mission is to inspire hope while advancing mental health and wellness through counseling, education, and prevention services. At Counseling Connections, Inc., we believe that mental health matters. Today, every human issue we face has a mental health component (homelessness, crime, school violence, child abuse, food insufficiency, suicide, etc.) The support needs to be at the local level where change can be affected. All proceeds from the Drive-Thru BBQ, provide mental health care to the most vulnerable in our society. 44% of those that are brave enough to reach out for help qualify for free or reduced services. Purchasing BBQ plates or Sponsoring the BBQ will provide critical mental health help to those in need. There is a mental health crisis in this country. Counseling Connections offers in-person and telehealth services on a HIPAA compliant platform that accepts insurance, cash payments and has a sliding scale. The needs are critical. Suicide and overdose deaths are at an all-time high. This is a preventable tragedy with access to clinical mental health care. We believe one’s ability to pay should not prevent them from receiving quality mental health services. It is our vision to provide these services to as many people as possible, but we cannot do this alone. Our Counseling Program provides trauma-informed evidence-based psychothe
