About Central City Opera
An annual summer opera festival brings audiences to Central City, 8,500 feet above sea level and about 35 miles west of Denver. Founded in 1932, the company is the country’s fifth-oldest professional opera company and performs in an intimate 550-seat opera house built in 1878.
