Spooky Sketch Night

About This Event

Sketch it up in a casual, no instruction environment. Spooky Sketch Night is all about getting loose, dressing up, and exploring the playful side of art. If you don’t fancy yourself an artist or if you’ve never attended a sketch night before, this is the perfect place to start. If you’re a regular at Bay Area figure drawing classes, you know the drill. We’ll have a variety of drawing stations set up - from figure drawing to still life - and you can move at your own pace. Questions? No stress, art instructor Gina Teichert will be there to help (but there is no formal instruction at this one). Models If you’re open to taking a turn as the figure model, we’re always looking for volunteers. We’ll alternate posing and drawing, and you only need to pose as long as feels good (5 minutes is a REALLY long time to hold still). Bring a prop or wear a costume that is fun to draw. If you’re not into posing, we’d still love for you to join and wear something spooky. Timing The Farm Center will be open from 6-9pm. Drop in after work and stay as long as you can. Late arrivals and early departures are welcome. Materials We have drawing pads and charcoal for anyone who needs them. If you have an easel, sketchbook, or favorite drawing medium, bring your gear. You’re welcome to bring a snack or beverage to share. Ages Open to adults and teens only. Check out our schedule for upcoming kids’ programming. Cost Admission and drawing materials are free of charge with support from Arts Council Napa Valley. Registration Walk-ins are welcome. Signing up in advance is even better! It helps us plan for seating and supplies. Let’s make this a big, fun group. Invite your neighbors, invite a friend.
