About This Event

Prepare your yard to be water-efficient! After City Water staff review the eight basic principles of water-wise landscaping, the RCD’s Miguél Garcia will examine soil texture and structure, local soil types, and the critical role that soil plays in making a water-wise landscape. After the Master Gardeners cleverly demonstrate some important soil features, Miguél will show how to improve your soil with aeration, amendments, and mulch. The “sheet mulching” method of lawn removal will be highlighted. Attendees will have a chance to win useful and valuable door prizes! 6:30-8:30 pm, Senior Center - Manzanita Room, 1500 Jefferson Street, Napa Workshop is FREE, but please register at cityofnapa.org/workshops.
