Winemaker Heidi Peterson Barrett chose a mermaid name for her longtime love of the ocean and scuba diving. Her small-production label began with a 1994 vintage, later adding Cabernet Sauvignon in 1996, and now pours in a Calistoga tasting room with vineyard views and Barrett’s own artwork.
